Although only founded recently, the CzechBone network is developing at a very good pace. Its concept is based on advanced technology, allowing connectivity to other WAN networks, transmissions from LAN and MAN networks, or the interconnection of these networks through VLAN. The universality of the CzechBone hybrid network is guaranteed by the internationally recognised OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) interconnecting model, defining in seven layers the functions of the transmission system, the principles of its execution, and the scheme in which the layers co-operate. The high standard of the network is given by a strict observance of all necessary standards for physical interfaces and the network’s architecture, as recommended by ISO (International Standardisation Organisation) and other institutions involved in the normalisation of communication networks.
